Where can I find an amazing road bike tour in Europe to go to?

Question by phinetic: Where can I find an amazing road bike tour in Europe to go to?
I have gotten somewhat serious about cycling and would absolutely love to go to Europe and do possibly a 7-14 day road bike tour with other individuals (this would be next year). I don’t want something leisure either, something that will test my endurance. I was wondering if anyone has ever don something like this, who they did it through, and how much it cost. Any sites or information on how you liked it would be awesome too.

I live in the states too so that’s why I’d like to book this in advance. Thanks!

Why 700c is the standard rim for road bikes used in tour the france ?

Question by Rommel: Why 700c is the standard rim for road bikes used in tour the france ?
why not used 27 instead ?

Best answer:

Answer by agb90spruce
Why is anything ‘standard’? Basically, it’s a metric world and the 700C rim (622 mm), of the sizes in use, was the ‘right’ size for a racing/road rim. Much smaller wouldn’t roll as well, and larger would be heavier.

i would get a mountain bike because theyre deffinaltey way better on side walk and you can have fun ridint in the woods ect, while road bikes dont have any shock absorbtion and have a rough ride unless your in the street, in the way of traffic…. dont konw what brands to check, look at local bike shops…
