A touring celebration of bikes? New Belgium Brewing’s Tour de Fat can’t help but stop in pedal-friendly Portland
The traveling carnival called Tour de Fat spreads the joys of bicycling, and at each stop entices one person to exchange his or her car for a hand-built bicycle and a car-free life for at least a year. In Portland, where the tour stops today at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, that could be preaching to the choir.

if your just beggining you dont need anything expensive. there are all kinds of good brands. just go to a bike shop and tell them your experience and they will show differernt brands and what is good to ride. good luck

me and the honey are wanting to buy a couple of mountain bikes but not wanting to spend 2 weeks pay/bike.
can anyone tell me or point me in the right direction for decent bikes around the 0 range per bike?
i am leaning toward Mongoose for mine,any comments on these bikes?
