Rocky Mountain Bicycles Announces New 2010 Website

Rocky Mountain Bicycles Announces New 2010 Website

Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) September 30, 2009

Rocky Mountain Bicycles, maker of premium performance bicycles since 1981, is pleased to announce the launch of its new website. The launch coincides with the launch of Rocky Mountain’s 2010 lineup at the Interbike trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Rocky Mountain’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Charles Russell comments, “We’re launching three all new platforms for 2010 with our 29ers, Flatline World Cup, and Metropolis, so there’s no better time to launch the new website. The new site gives our customers more detailed product information, increased functionality, and a new, fresh aesthetic. We have the best URL in the business with Bikes.com and our new site does it justice”

The new site will feature in-depth information on Rocky Mountain’s proprietary technologies, a new and improved news section, and new bike galleries. Rocky Mountain also plans to showcase its hugely successful Maxxis-Rocky Mountain World Cup race team on the site with video content, rider blogs, and team schedules.

Rocky Mountain selected Vancouver web developer Work At Play for the website project. Work at Play specializes in online strategy, web design, and web development. Their clients include MTV, NBC, the B.C. Government, Knowledge.ca, B.C. Children’s Hospital, among many others.

Russell continues, “With no shortage of web developers in Vancouver, we had lots of great options of local firms to work with, but we chose Work At Play because they are world leaders in online customer engagement and shared the same vision of our brand. Not only are they a high-tech R&D based company like us and share the same vision of our brand, but lots of the employees at Work At Play are mountain bikers too. It was a natural relationship.”

“Our team has the passion and expertise for creating the world’s most innovative media applications for companies who are dedicated to their engaging their customers,” says David Gratton, CEO of Work at Play. “We were excited to partner with Rocky Mountain Bicycles and make bikes.com reflect the same quality product and experience the company is known for in its bikes.”

BMC 2010, Now Exclusive to Evans Cycles

BMC 2010, Now Exclusive to Evans Cycles

2010 Streetfire SSX

(PRWEB) December 4, 2009

From 2010, BMC bikes will be exclusively stocked at Evans Cycles. Based in Switzerland, BMC are turning heads with their new range of 2010 bikes and impressive pro team signings including George Hincapie and World Champ Cadel Evans. BMC’s philosophy of ‘style, passion, and precision’ is ever apparent through the company and their bikes.

“The pedigree of the brand is undoubted and we’ve been very impressed with the quality of the 2010 range. Bringing BMC into the UK and stocking it in our stores is really exciting and offers British cyclists even more choice when it comes to riding top notch bikes”. says Head Bike Buyer at Evans Cycles, Joel Natale. “Taking them in direct means we can offer these great bikes at realistic prices.”

Evans Cycles will be stocking a range of BMC bikes including road bikes, mountain bikes, women’s specific bikes, and cyclocross bikes. Highlights of the 2010 range, soon to hit the shop floor include:

The 2010 Team Machine SLR 01 (£4,999.99), BMC’s top end road bike utilises the latest nano technology to produce a bike to satisfy the most demanding of customers. BMC have created the TCC (tuned compliance concept) in this carbon fibre frame to give the bike vertical flexibility – giving you a comfortable yet rigid ride. Combine this with a choice of Campagnolo Super Record, SRAM Red, or Shimano Dura Ace group sets and you’ve got a world class race machine that will definitely turn heads.

The 2010 Streetfire SSX (£1,199.99) gets a facelift from 2009 but still provides a great starting point for those looking to get into the sport. Combining a lightweight aluminium frame and Shimano 105 component set, the Streetfire is created by the same cutting edge technology that BMC use throughout their range. A great bike for commuting to work or sportive rides on the weekend.

BMC have the mountain bikes covered too. The 2010 Trailfox 02 (£1,999.99) is perfect for UK trail conditions. This 140mm dual suspension mountain bike is light enough to climb yet strong and nimble to descend with ease. Using Shimano components and suspension from Fox and Rock Shox the Trailfox 02 can handle anything the trail will throw at it.

“If the 2010 range is half as popular as the limited number of 2009 bikes we have in stock they won’t be on the shop floor for long!” says Joel.

Test rides & demo bikes

BMC bikes will be stocked in the majority of Evans Cycles stores from December 2009, where customers can inspect the bikes, and like all bikes stocked at Evans Cycles, take them for a short test ride. For those wanting a more in-depth experience of the new range, key models will be incorporated into the 60 bike strong 2010 Evans Cycles demo fleet – available to try at the Evans Cycles Ride It! event series. A nationwide series of organised off-road and sportive road rides.
